How to Clear Cache and Cookies in Chrome
Delete Chrome's cached files and cookies from the Delete browsing data screen to fix pages that load stale content or refuse to sign you in.
A page keeps showing an old version, a login loop will not break, or a site behaves differently than it does in another browser. Clearing Chrome's cache and cookies gives the site a clean slate.
Open the Delete browsing data screen
Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Mac: Cmd + Shift + Delete). You can also get there from the three-dot menu at the top right: Delete browsing data. Older versions of Chrome label the same item Clear browsing data.
Pick a time range
Stay on the Basic tab. Open the Time range dropdown at the top. All time clears everything. If the problem started today, Last 24 hours is enough and leaves your other logins alone.
Check Cookies and Cached images and files
Tick Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files. Leave Browsing history unchecked unless you want your history gone as well.
Click Delete data
Click Delete data. Chrome removes the files right away. There is no confirmation step and no undo.
Cookies are what keep you signed in, so every site within the chosen time range will ask you to log in again. Saved passwords are not affected, and Chrome will still offer to fill them.
Reload the page that was misbehaving
Go back to the site and press F5 (Mac: Cmd + R). Chrome downloads a fresh copy of every file instead of reading the old one from disk.
To clear one site only. Click the icon to the left of the address, then Cookies and site data, and delete the data listed there for that site. To see every site with stored data and delete them one at a time, paste this into the address bar:
