The Instructions is a collection of how-to guides. You do not need an account to read it, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal information to use the site.

What we collect

You do not give us anything directly. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site running and are not used to identify you.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which guides people read. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address (which Google truncates), the pages you view, and general information such as device type, browser, and approximate region. We do not use it to identify anyone, and we do not combine it with advertising audiences.

You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, by blocking cookies in your browser, or with any tracker-blocking extension. The guides work exactly the same either way.

Advertising

We show ads served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Cookies

The cookies set on this site come from Google Analytics and Google's advertising services described above. We set none of our own. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site works without them.

Guides sometimes link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
