How to Print Only the Form on a Web Page

You printed a form from a website and got the site's header, a sidebar, a cookie banner, and the form squeezed onto page two. The browser does not print what you see on screen; it lays the page out as a document and includes everything the site did not hide for print. The fixes below strip the page down to the form.

Look for the site's own Print button

Scan the form for a Print or Print this page link, often near the submit button or at the top. Sites that expect printing usually open a stripped-down view with only the form, and that view prints cleanly with no further setup.

Turn off headers, footers, and margins

Press Ctrl + P (Mac: Cmd + P), then expand More settings. Untick Headers and footers to drop the date, URL, and page title Chrome adds. Set Margins to Minimum or None and adjust Scale until the form fits on one page. If lines or boxes disappear in the preview, tick Background graphics.

Print only a selection

Close the print dialog, click just before the form's first field, and drag to just past its last button so the whole form is highlighted and nothing else is. Press Ctrl + P (Mac: Cmd + P), expand More settings, and tick Selection only. The preview shows only the highlighted area.

Use Reading mode as a fallback

Open the three-dot menu, More tools, Reading mode to open the page's main content in the side panel, then right-click inside it and choose Print. Reading mode keeps text and simple tables but can drop form fields, so check the preview before printing.

Save as PDF and print the pages you need

In the print dialog set Destination to Save as PDF. Open the PDF, find the pages with the form, and print only those by entering their numbers under Pages. This also leaves you a copy of what you filled in.

If your typed answers do not print. Chrome prints filled-in values only when the form is part of the web page itself. A form shown inside the PDF viewer prints from the viewer's own print button, and in a mixed page the plugin area may come out blank. Edge's Immersive Reader prints clean article text but drops form fields entirely, so use it for reading pages, not forms.
