How to Make a Playlist on YouTube
Create a YouTube playlist from any video, choose whether it is public, unlisted, or private, then add, reorder, and share videos from the website or app.
A playlist is a set of videos that play back to back and can be shared with a single link. You create one from any video, then manage it from the You page.
Click Save under a video
On the website, open a video and click Save below it. If Save is not visible, click the three-dot menu under the video and choose Save to playlist. In the phone app, tap Save under the video.
Create the playlist
In the panel that opens, click New playlist. Type a name. Choose a privacy setting: Public (anyone can find it), Unlisted (only people with the link), or Private (only you). Click Create. The video is added immediately.
Add more videos
Click Save under any other video and tick the box next to the playlist's name. You can also click the three-dot menu on any thumbnail and choose Save to playlist. In the app, tap Save and tap the playlist.
Reorder or edit the playlist
On the website, click You in the left menu, then Playlists, and open the playlist. Drag a video by the handle on its left to reorder it. Click the three-dot menu next to a video and choose Remove from playlist to drop it. Click the pencil icon next to the title to rename the playlist or change its privacy. In the app, tap You, Playlists, open the playlist, tap the pencil icon, and drag videos by their handles.
Share it
Open the playlist and click Share to copy the link or send it to another app. A Private playlist cannot be shared; change it to Unlisted first.
Watch later. YouTube includes a built-in playlist called Watch later. Click the clock icon on a thumbnail or choose Watch later in the Save panel to add to it. It cannot be shared.
Unlisted sharing. Anyone with the link can view an Unlisted playlist, even without a YouTube account, but it does not show up in search or on your channel page.
