How to Loop a Video on YouTube
Make a YouTube video repeat automatically when it ends, using the right-click menu on the website or the Loop video option in the phone app.
A looped video restarts from the beginning the moment it ends, with no extra clicks and no jump to the next suggested video. YouTube has a built-in loop on the website and in the app.
Right-click the video on the website
Right-click anywhere on the video itself. A YouTube menu appears with Loop at the top. Click it. A check mark next to Loop means it is on, and the video repeats until you turn it off.
Turn it off the same way
Right-click the video again and click Loop to clear the check mark. The loop also switches off when you open a different video.
Loop in the phone app
Tap the video to show the controls, then tap the gear icon at the top right. Tap Loop video. On some versions of the app it sits under Additional settings. Tap it again to stop looping.
Use a playlist if Loop video is missing
Older app versions do not have Loop video. Tap Save under the video and add it to a playlist, then open the playlist and start it. Tap the loop icon in the playlist panel once to repeat the whole playlist, or twice to repeat only the current video; a small 1 appears on the icon.
Loop part of a video
Neither the website nor the app can loop a selected section of a video on its own. Drag the progress bar back to the start of the section each time, or, if the channel allows it, click Clip under the video to make a 5 to 60 second segment that plays on repeat when opened.
If the wrong menu appears. On the website, the first right-click sometimes brings up a menu without Loop, such as the player stats menu. Right-click the video a second time and the YouTube menu with Loop appears.
Autoplay stays off while looping. With Loop on, the player ignores Autoplay for that video, so you do not need to turn Autoplay off separately.
