How to Fill In the Thailand Digital Arrival Card

The trip to Thailand is booked, and at check-in or in the immigration line someone asks for your TDAC. The wrong assumption is that it is a visa or a paid service. It is a free online form from the Thai Immigration Bureau that replaced the paper TM6 card on May 1, 2025, and it takes a few minutes on a phone.

Open the official TDAC portal

Go to the TDAC portal run by the Immigration Bureau. The Royal Thai Embassy's TDAC submission page says the card can be completed free of charge and warns against any website charging administrative fees. Every non-Thai national entering by air, land, or sea must submit one, including children and infants, according to the TDAC FAQ. Crew and passengers who transit without passing through immigration are exempt. The card is not a visa, so visa-exempt and visa-on-arrival travelers still need it.

Submit within three days of arrival

As of September 2026 the portal states that arrival card information must be submitted 3 days in advance of the arrival date. The FAQ counts that window as the three days before arrival, including the arrival day, with a maximum of 72 hours ahead. Submitting earlier is not possible. The embassy page notes that each card covers a single entry.

Fill in the form in English

Tap Arrival Card on the home screen. The Immigration Bureau's English guide says all details must be entered in English and lists what is required: passport details (the form can scan the passport's machine readable zone), personal information, trip information including flight number and arrival date, the address where you will stay in Thailand, the purpose of travel, and the Ministry of Public Health's health declaration. Review the summary, enter an email address, agree to the terms, and tap Submit.

Add travel companions to one submission

A group submission covers up to 10 travelers. Enter the first traveler, then tap Add Other Travelers for each companion. Accommodation details can be copied from the previous traveler when they are the same. Tour operators and agents may submit for clients they are authorized to represent.

Keep the confirmation on your phone

The card and its QR code arrive by email, and you can download or print it during your stay. Printing is not required. The FAQ states that showing the QR code on a phone at the immigration counter is enough. To correct a flight or hotel, use Update Arrival Card on the home screen and search with the card number, date of birth, and nationality. Name, nationality, and date of birth cannot be changed after submission.

If you forgot until the airport. Submit it from your phone before you reach the counter. The embassy page lists free Wi-Fi and TDAC kiosks at Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Phuket, Chiang Mai, and Hat Yai airports. When you use a kiosk, photograph the QR code it displays, because the FAQ says that photo is your proof of submission.
