How to Find Your iPhone's IP Address

You need your iPhone's IP address to connect to a local dev server, set up a printer, or troubleshoot your network. It takes four taps.

Open Wi-Fi settings

Open Settings and tap Wi-Fi. Make sure you are connected to the network you care about.

Tap the info button next to your network

Tap the (i) icon to the right of the connected network's name.

Read the IP Address line

Scroll to the IPV4 ADDRESS section. The IP Address line is your iPhone's local address on this network, usually something like 192.168.1.24.

The Router line just below is your router's address, which is useful if you need to log into it.

Find your public IP

Your public IP belongs to the network, not the phone. Open Safari and search "what is my IP". The first result shows it. On cellular, this is your carrier's address and changes often.

A note on Private Wi-Fi Address. On the same screen, iPhone may show a Private Address toggle. That changes your MAC address, not your IP, and has no effect on the steps above.
