How to Schedule an Email in Gmail
Write an email in Gmail now and have it sent later at a date and time you choose, then find or cancel scheduled messages from the Scheduled label.
You have written an email at 11 pm and would rather it land in the morning, or you need a reminder to go out next Tuesday. Gmail can hold a message and send it at a time you choose, and it sends even if your computer is off.
Write the message
Click Compose and write the email as usual, including recipients, subject, and any attachments. Everything must be final, since the message is sent exactly as it is when the time arrives.
Click the arrow next to Send
At the bottom-left of the compose window, next to the Send button, click the small dropdown arrow. Choose Schedule send.
Pick a time
Gmail offers a few suggestions such as tomorrow morning or Monday at 8 AM. Click one, or click Pick date & time to set an exact date and time on a calendar. Times use the time zone your computer is currently set to.
Click Schedule send
Click Schedule send. The compose window closes and a confirmation appears at the bottom-left. The message is stored on Google's servers, so it goes out on time regardless of whether you are online.
Find or cancel a scheduled message
Click Scheduled in the left sidebar. If it is hidden, click More to expand the list. Open the message and click Cancel send at the top. The email returns to Drafts, where you can edit it and schedule it again or send it right away. Gmail allows up to 100 scheduled messages at a time.
In the Gmail app. Scheduling works the same on Android and iPhone. In the compose screen, tap the three-dot menu at the top right and choose Schedule send. Scheduled messages appear under the same Scheduled label on every device, and cancelling from the phone returns them to Drafts just as on the web.
